On 2 Cor 13:11-14 :

In spite of the reports Paul had heard, in spite of what Paul himself had witnessed in their midst and in spite of what Paul had found it necessary to say and to do, he still considered these Corinthians as brothers and sisters in Christ. In fact, it was because he recognized that special relationship between them and Christ and that special relationship between them and himself, that he acted as he did.
