This morning I thought I’d get up early, pray, start my next sermon…no dice. Adah woke up pretty much as soon as I was up. Oh well. I got to watch the sun come up with her. I witnessed the exact moment it peeked over the horizon in all its flaming glory — neat. It quickly went behind the low cloud cover, though. Adah saw it too, although I don’t think she realized what she was looking at. Then, after getting ready, it was off to the nursing home for a Bible class and worship service…communed with the shut-ins…then over to Fairfax for pastors’ study club: delicious chili, sound advice, not a few laughs, and of course the Word. Spent close to two hours mining this coming Sunday’s Gospel, John 11:17-27, 38-45 — the raising of Lazarus. Awesome. Then home and family time; out to eat at the Pizza Ranch in Redwood Falls (= yum). Went on two walks with Adah because it was the first bona fide nice day since last fall. Over 50 out– woohoo! Helped with her bath and bedtime, then worked on the Bible study for Ladies’ Guild later in the week. Now I’m going to blog for a bit, then Compline, then bed. Today was busy, and tomorrow I’ll get up and do it all over again. And God is good.
Sleep well, friends, and may the Lord bless and keep you.
